Christmas is celebrated to remember the birth of Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God. The name ‘Christmas’ comes from the Mass of Christ (or Jesus). A Mass service (which is sometimes called Communion or Eucharist) is where we remember that Jesus died for us and then came back to life.Every year at Bloomseed we celebrate Christmas with our traditional Night of Glitter program.

Some of our favorite Christmas Carols

Away in a manger, no crib for his bed,
the little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head.
The stars in the bright sky looked down where he lay,
The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.
The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes,
but little Lord Jesus no crying he makes.
I love thee, Lord Jesus! Look down from the sky,
And stay by my side until morning is nigh.

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town
Oh! You better watch out,
you better not cry,
you better not pout,
I’m telling you why:
Santa Claus is coming to town!
He’s making a list,
He’s checking it twice,
gonna find out who’s naughty or nice.
Santa Claus is coming to town!
He sees you when you’re sleeping,
he knows when you’re awake.
He knows when you’ve been bad or good,
so be good for goodness sake!
So…You better watch out, You better not cry
You better not pout, I’m Telling you why.
Santa Claus is coming to town.
Little tin horns, little toy drums.
Rudy-toot-toot and rummy tum tums.
Santa Claus is coming to town.

Little toy dolls that cuddle and coo,
Elephants, boats and Kiddie cars too.
Santa Claus is coming to town.

The kids in Girl and boy land
will have a jubilee.
They’re gonna build a toy land town
all around the Christmas tree.

Ohh….You better watch out, you better not cry.
You better not pout, I’m telling you why.
Santa Claus is coming to town.
